charles spencer chaplin ,kbe, more known with Charlie Chaplin (London, April 16, 1889 - Corsier-sur-Vevey, December 25, 1977) was an actor, director, producer, comedian, dancer, writer and British musician. Chaplin was one of the most famous actors of the silent film era, distinguished themselves by the use of mime and slapstick comedy.
Charlie Chaplin acted in, directed, wrote and produced his own films, being strongly influenced by a predecessor, the French comedian Max Linder, to whom he dedicated one of his films.
